The automotive sector is a pillar of Canada’s economy. Although the announcement last year of the closure of General Motors in Oshawa, the sector has been relatively stable. However, this sector has been rocked from it’s moorings during COVID-19. Disruptions in supply chain and worker safety have wrecked havoc and it’s future in Canada is now in question…..or is it? To help us with the conversation is Peter Hall. Peter is the Vice President and Chief Economist for Export Development Canada. With over 30 years of experience in economic analysis and forecasting, Peter is responsible for overseeing EDC’s economic analysis, country risk assessment and corporate research groups.
