As a 14 year old lad, Domenic went to a local golf course where his brother-in-law and sister worked. There were a number of hotel rooms and the chef asked Domenic to deliver two plates to one of the rooms.
“I knocked on the door and a gentleman grabbed the tray, gave me two dollars and slammed the door in my face. I didn’t know the $2 was for me until my brother explained to me later what a tip was.”
In 1985, this young dynamic entrepreneur opened his first hotel. Five years later he opened the flagship Monte Carlo property opened on Derry Road in Mississauga. He now has seven hotels in the GTA and one in Barrie and is looking to expand to Western Canada and internationally.
