Dr. Noah Lazar – Coping With Working From Home – Pt. 2 – PODCAST

Many people have long awaited an opportunity to work from home. They lobbied their managers to work out a plan where working remotely was part of their regular work week. Well, now their wish has come true, albeit in the form of a Tsunami in the wake of COVID-19. Thousands of staff who enjoyed the flexibility of working remotely are now thrust into a non flexible regime. AND thousands more who never thought about working remotely are jammed into corners of their 700 sq ft condos isolated from their co-workers. Many enjoy the independence, but many are stressed over their new workplace environment. For those who are NOT loving the new normal, we have relief. To help us with the discussion is Dr. Noah Lazar. Dr. Lazar is a Clinical Director and Founder of The Downtown Psychology Clinic in Toronto, and a professor at the University of Toronto. He is certified by the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies in the provision of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and treats a wide range of difficulties related to mood, anxiety and work stress. Dr. Lazar is also part of the Bell Let’s Talk team of subject matter experts, providing information on how to recognize and help people within organizations struggling with mental health issues. It’s worth noting that Bell Let’s Talk recently announced new funding of $5 million for 5 organizations delivering mental health support to youth, family and communities during the COVID-19 crisis.
