Malls remain virtual ghost towns and unless you have an external entry point, your closed. Small retailers are struggling with the rules of physical distancing and keeping customers and staff safe. 16 major retail and restaurant chains have filed for bankruptcy protection south of the border and in Canada, the number is 19. Names like The Gap, Rona, Lowes, Zellers, Holt Renfew. Now while all 19 are not seeking bankruptcy protection in Canada, they have significant store closings. So, what is the outlook for Canadian retailers.  To help us with the conversation is Peter Hall. Peter is the Vice President and Chief Economist for Export Development Canada.
