The Ontario government has again updated the Employment Standards Act to further extend Ontario’s “COVID-19 Period” to September 25, 2021. This means the temporary rules that began in March 2020 will continue to apply, giving employers the ability to implement COVID-related leaves of absence or wage reductions.
