Mayor Crombie’s annual Thanksgiving Food Bank Drive is in full swing until October 18th. With a goal of $250,000 and 170,000 pounds of food, it’s a big goal. But with COVID-19 stretching family food budgets to the edge, the pressure on food banks and support services are at their max. Behind the scenes are unsung heros who unpack trucks, put food on shelves and distribute packages to those in need. They are the volunteers at the food bank and joining us today is one of those volunteers, Maryann Baird.
