MBOT MEDIA RELEASE: Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors

(Mississauga) – Dear Valued MBOT Member,
On behalf of the Chair of the Nominations and Governance Committee at the Mississauga Board of Trade, we are pleased to announce that nominations for the Mississauga Board of Trade’s Board of Directors are now open. As representatives of the membership, Directors play a vital role in exercising visionary leadership, establishing values and goals, setting policies and procedures, and supporting the employees and volunteers of Mississauga Board of Trade.
MBOT is seeking nominees to fill vacant Director positions that will support our large, diverse, and active membership. Our committee seeks expressions of interest from senior-level business leaders with prior board experience and the support of their employer to hold the position of Director for a 3-year term (maximum of 6 years). Nominees must be able to contribute to MBOT initiatives through attendance and sponsorship and attend at least 5 Board meetings per year (10 as a member of the Executive Committee).
While all eligible nominations will be considered, the Committee is particularly interested in nominees with expertise and experience in:
- Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
- Food Processing
- Real Estate & Construction and;
- Clean Technologies
