Dear Premier Ford:

Re: Business Openings in Peel Region

On behalf of the Mississauga Board of Trade and its members we would like to thank you for the decision to allow the Region of Peel to move into the Orange category of business openings effective midnight on November 7, 2020.

We previously sent you a letter advocating for safe business re-openings and the fact that we need to work in the new normal of business and economic activity while we continue to fight the COVID19 pandemic.

Businesses are appreciative of the opportunity to provide goods and services from indoor locations moving forward.

However as it continues to prove that COVID19 cases are not being traced to these businesses, we encourage the Province to move quickly to upgrade the status of Peel Region (or of the City of Mississauga alone) based on the local evidence.

Thank you again for moving forward and showing support for businesses in Ontario.

Yours truly,

David Wojcik President & CEO
